Coopapalooza 2016

Coopapalooza was a great success! We biked around to different chicken coops in The Bronx, visited gardens, and enjoyed lunch together.

Hooray for Partnerships!

Today we started a new partnership with our local grocery store! We picked up a a 3.5 pound bag of lettuce and green scraps for the hens and they LOVED it! We will hopefully be picking these up daily and not only keeping our hens happy, healthy and busy - it will keep pounds of waste out of our landfills!

A Visit to the Hattie Carthan Community Garden

As part of the Food Justice course at Just Food one of our volunteers takes, she visited the Hattie Carthan Garden in Brooklyn. We had a great time seeing the gardens and especially the chickens! There are 50 hens there!!! A great place to visit!
